Every Wednesday (except July 4th), the entire camp will depart on a fun field trip! 2012 trips include:
Beach Trip • Half Moon Bay Area, CA
Campers will be at the beach for approximately 2.5 hours and will be required to wear their camp t-shirts.
- Two lifeguards will be on duty, boundaries will be clearly marked, and campers will not be allowed to go farther than knee-deep in calm water.
- If conditions are rough, no campers will be allowed in the water.
- All activities will be carefully supervised. Beach activities include wiffleball, soccer, football, horseshoes, volleyball, tug-o-war, a treasure hunt, sand castle contest, and more!
- A lunch of pizza, chips, fruit, juice and a dessert will be provided.
Raging Waters Amusement Park • San Jose, CA
Champion Summer Camp will provide tickets, and secure a private cabana for the use of our campers only. Campers will be required to wear their camp t-shirts. Life jackets will be available upon request.
- This park has 45 on staff lifeguards and an excellent safety record.
- We make sure that campers are escorted through the park in groups with the following approximate ratios of chaperons to campers:
- Ages 5 – 6: 1 to 3 or 4 ratio
- Ages 7 – 8: 1 to 4 or 5 ratio
- Ages 9 – 10: 1 to 5 or 6 ratio
- Ages 11 & 12: Unescorted unless parents specify otherwise
- A double buddy system will be in place to ensure kids don't get separated.
- A lunch of burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, salad, chips, and soda will be provided.
Bowling Trip • Daly City, CA
Camp will rent out the entire alley for our exclusive use.
- A snack of french fries and up to two 6 ounce cups of soda will be provided.
- This is a morning trip only for all sessions, and campers will be back at camp for lunch.

- 7/4 – Camp will be OPEN, but there is no field trip on this day.
Session 3
- 7/11 – The Beach
- 7/18 – Raging Waters
- 7/25 – Bowling
Session 4
- 8/1 – Raging Waters
- 8/8 – Bowling
There are no additional costs to families who attend field trip days. Camp will cover all ticket/game costs and will provide lunch and/or snacks as described to the left.
On all field trip days, please adhere to normal drop off and pick up times. Campers should be dropped off and picked up just like they would be on any other camp day.
Transportation will be provided by the camp using a highly rated bus service.
